Board Compensation and Related Party Transactions Disclosure

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saint John is committed to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of ethical governance.

Members of the Board of Directors serve in a voluntary capacity and do not receive remuneration for their service as Directors. As outlined in the agency’s Board Roles, Responsibilities and Conduct Policy, Directors are prohibited from receiving salary, fees, commissions, or other compensation for services provided to the organization in their role as Board members.

The organization also maintains strict conflict of interest requirements. Any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest must be disclosed, documented, and managed in accordance with policy, with affected Board members required to abstain from related discussions and decisions.

At this time, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saint John does not make payments for goods or services to Board members, nor to companies in which a Board member is an owner, partner, or senior staff member. Should such a transaction ever occur, the organization will ensure it is fully disclosed on this website, reviewed in accordance with governance policies, and managed to protect the organization’s integrity and public trust.
